How we check listings
A directory is only useful if the links work. Here is what we check and what each label means.
Verification labels
- Verified
- The group's own website mentions MeshCore. Any Discord invite we list works; a few groups use a neighbor's or a radio club's server, and their page says so. 81 groups.
- Partly verified
- The group has no website we could use. We confirmed it through its Facebook group, opened in a browser, or a working Discord invite whose server name matches, and most are also listed in a regional directory. 14 groups.
- Site down
- The group's website was down on the check date. It's listed so you can find it, but treat it with care. 2 groups.
What we check on every listing
Every link checked
Websites and maps are loaded and read. Pages that block automated checks were opened in a browser.
Discord checked with Discord
Each invite is looked up with Discord itself: whether it still works, the server's name and its member count.
Facebook opened in a browser
We confirm the group's name, size, and that it isn't paused or gone.
Settings only from the source
Radio settings are shown only when the group publishes them on its own pages.
What we leave out
Groups that only run Meshtastic (groups that are mostly Meshtastic but publish MeshCore guidance are listed and marked), personal sites, groups we can't reach through any working link, and dead invites. On the last check we removed 5 groups for these reasons. We never list private member information or repeater locations people haven't made public.
Disclosures and privacy
Affiliate links. Find My Mesh is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links appear only on the gear and review pages, are marked "Paid link", and never influence which groups are listed or how they are ranked. Product photos, titles and prices on those pages come from Amazon's Creators API; prices are shown with the time they were fetched and may have changed by the time you buy.
Privacy. This site has no accounts, no tracking pixels and no advertising network. The listing form sends what you type to the site owner and nothing else. Amazon may set cookies when you click an affiliate link, under Amazon's own privacy policy. Node counts on the state pages come from a daily snapshot of the public MeshCore community map (map.meshcore.io) and include no personal information.
Two camps use the MeshCore name. The core developers run meshcore.io, the docs, the blog and the GitHub repository, and say "the only 'official' MeshCore is the github repo." A former team member runs meshcore.co.uk and MeshOS, and has filed trademark applications that the core team is opposing. This site links to both where useful, but only calls something official if meshcore.io links it. The core team's account.
